How do I get to the Picnic?
Westmoreland Park is located at SE McLoughlin & Bybee Blvd. and conveniently located on the MAX Orange Line and Bus #70. We highly recommend using TriMet. Plan your trip here!
How much does it cost to get in?
The Portland Picnic is not a ticketed event, and there is no admission charge to enter the festival. To participate in the wine tasting however, a tasting glass and package must be purchased. Don’t forget your ID!
What are the hours of the Picnic?
The Picnic will open at 11 a.m. and the festival ends at 9 p.m. OLCC requires we stop serving alcoholic beverages at 8 p.m.
What’s the deal with the wine tasting?
In order to partake, you can purchase a tasting package which includes a souvenir glass and tasting tickets.
Will there also be beer?
Are my children allowed to attend?
Yes, in fact they are encouraged to attend! This is a family-friendly festival and there will be activities for the kids to enjoy as well. Just no wine or beer for those under 21 and minors need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Can I bring in a picnic basket/cooler/outside food and drinks?
No outside food and beverages may be brought into the festival. Food and beverage purchases will be available from a variety of vendors. Water will also be on hand to refill water bottles.

Something for everyone! Food, beer, live music and activities for the kids like drawing and face painting. There's even a grape stomping competition!
What kind of chairs and blankets can I bring?
Low rise beach/lawn chairs, blankets and beach towels are perfect for a picnic.

No. Although we know dogs love a good picnic, they’ll need to sit this one out unless they are a service animal.
What should I leave at home?
Prohibited items include: guns, knives, pepper spray, fireworks, alcohol or other items as deemed prohibited by security.
Is smoking allowed?
No. The Portland City Council passed a total smoking ban in all city parks in 2015, so smoking is not allowed at the Portland Picnic. This includes both tobacco and marijuana. Even though cannabis is legal in the privacy of your own home, it is illegal on the premises (in all forms) and is not allowed.
Are debit/credit cards accepted?
Yes, most vendors accept debit cards, however during peak hours the Wi-Fi could become slow or delayed. We recommend having some cash available.

Yes, there will be port-a-potties on the festival grounds.
What if it rains?
